Hello! Wishing good health to all the people reading this. For NaPoWriMo Day 3 a prompt was given to pick up random words and find few rhyming words to them and then form poetry. Here is my poem for the same. Words are selected from the book: “Steve Jobs” by Walter Isaacson. I would love to hear your views on the same.
You are invited for tonight’s show,
Where you all be sitting in a row,
And be taught to lie without a flaw,
I hope you are lousy to be a pro. wink
Smile, Shine for the biggest ceremony,
About to receive some good old money,
How in the end you crawl on your knee,
Lay in your bed crying in a flea.
No! Not a crime,
Just the way we shine,
Oh by the way! We shouted fifty times,
We love to blind you like sunshine.
New is the aesthetic,
Cry to be poetic,
Ends you being sympathetic,
Thus we become the critic.
Gravel the books,
Jump on hooks,
Remember your crooks,
Betray the underlooks.
Thus I reiterate,
Stop choking on bait,
Dose off your trait,
Stand up, back straight.
One more change,
Sit back down,
Do you really want to get
lost in lies?
Well if just so,
You are invited for tonight’s show,
Where you all be seated in a row.
