Did the plot-line receive some love?

Proficiently, let’s say, ‘it is one of my favorites.’ The plotline of the book is not anything extraordinary. It moves effortlessly and is neither fast-paced nor slow (smooooth!). The book enters the top list as the sentence formation and words used to stand out. At intervals, you can predict what will represent the subsequent scene or the dialogue, nevertheless, you want to keep reading more to find out.

Autumn is a normal girl who wishes to finish her forensic science degree but things do not stay the same when a purple envelope arrives. An envelope for her successful admission in The Windhaven Academy does not accept any wand-less local kids, just the ones naturally having some powers hidden inside them.

Things start getting quirkier when she decides to stay with her dad to gain her place in the Academy. The house with many rooms and un-natural aura does not give Autumn a good time. Her friends keep apprising her to find out more about her family’s past to find out her powers.

The past does not always hide well, does it?
A sinister shadow allegedly keeps looking at her from near the pond of her house. Who is stalking the girl that has never spent time in that house before?

You need to pre-order the book and find out the answers as soon as September 15 is here!

While the detailing about the scenarios is good, a little bit of detailing of the characters would have enhanced the bonding with them more. The other thing which does not persuade me during the whole book is the instant spark between the characters. I do not find that very amusing. However, the chemistry which follows later between them is shown beautifully. There are bits here and there which flees me confused but that I predict is mostly because the book is part of a series and some of the questions maybe answered later in other ones.

I got devoted to the book because I enjoyed what I read. I completed the book in about four or five hours and I absolutely wanted to read the next one in the series then.
Also, the book ends with a cliffhanger (it was for me at least, and I just wanted to know more.)

My favorite character is Autumn – the protagonist who seems like an absolutely ordinary girl and everyone can at one point or the other relate somehow to her character. She is strong and tries to face the consequences but equally has to be pushed and given a little strength to take a step ahead. I also immensely enjoy the Gilbert twins (Colt and Cat) who try to support Autumn during her time at the Academy.

The book is currently at a very discounted rate for about $0.99 (for kindle edition) and fifty-percent of the total collection will go to the Cancer Society to help them. I hope you all can help her achieve her target for the good cause.

Thank you, Netgalley for providing the ARC of the book. I enjoyed the book a lot. #SecretLegacy #NetGalley
