Name: Of Silver and Shadow
Author: Jennifer Gruenke
Being a danger for the kingdom hasn’t been the nicest experience for Ren Kollins and thus she had kept herself hidden for a long time, from everyone. But, when someone finds it out and she is suddenly pulled into a rebellion group which seem to be stubborn to bring the Lyndors down from the throne of Erdis. But, Ren does not want to fight the king or publicize her powers,
On the other hand, the King’s Children are on a move to find the rebellion and the leader to become King’s Fang, to become the Right hand of the King. Adley with the crew of children who are not interested in becoming the fangs are on the move!
As everything seems to come to a pressured tensed burst, Adley must find the Rebel leader and Ren must help the rebels! Find out what happens in the book!
Well, well well! This book ruined me! Like it broke me into a thousand pieces and then I just wanted to keep reading more and just more but nobody gave me more. *sobs*. This was an amazing read and maybe one of the best reads of 2021! I would recommend this to everyone who loves to read fantasy, kingdom, kings, rebellions and yes everything you wish for. Again, THIS IS NOT A FAIRYTALE, this is a different story-tale!
There are various stories which run here simultaneously. And even though the story runs in third person, it has all the different point of views it needs to become a perfect story.
The writing style is just so beautiful. Each word written by Jennifer will surely leave you awe-struck. I am just very short of words today and even though I wanna keep talking I just am not able to. The characters are written beautifully, the emotions caught inside each character are amazing as well. When you read through the lines, you’ll find yourself in the world of Erdis and I am very sure you will love it.
Let’s talk about supporting character. ARE THERE ANY? No, I don’t think so. All the characters seem to have their perfect part and space in the book. There were no times for me where this fell flat. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Trigger Warnings: Killing of people, Hurting living people in different ways aka physical abuse.
I wanted to speak much more about it and probably will. I will re-read it and review it again!!!!
