I have nothing left of me,
The pieces of coal piercing
through the skin
burning through the blood.
Crevices of veins,
what’s left of me is vein
staring into the moonlight,
stole me away from my sleep
to poison into the creeks.
The blue entangles
darker as it moves towards
the heart
the un-steady pursuit
then slowly scars.
The stars have beaded
to wrap around my body
they smile looking at me
the glow of the body
nobody to see the burns
healing underneath
the sheath.
